Also in the latest news is material which details support for clubs in meeting their legal obligations. The golf unions of England, Wales and Scotland have been partnered by the greenkeepers’ association BIGGA to extend the support offered to golf clubs on health and safety and employment law. They provide free advice to members from the specialist golf service providers, the Xact Group.

A new feature of the Xact service is a range of e-learning health and safety courses for golf club staff, offering ten online courses on clubhouse topics and greenkeeping matters. Clubs will receive a substantial discount on the charges for this training.

The courses are designed to help golf clubs meet their legal obligations, provide a safer working environment and can be used as part of an induction process. Specially designed software allows the employee to complete the training in more than one session.

The news includes details of how you can access the very topical Golf Express website promoting 9 hole golf as well as how you can obtain marketing materials from England Golf to assist your club via the England Golf Clubhouse.

Finally there is further information on the EG U18 AASE programme. The two year programme is designed to support young, talented, male and female golfers in achieving their maximum potential within golf. Further info here
