County Champions to Represent Cornwall

Three County Champions from Cornwall will travel to the headquarters of England Golf in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire next month to represent the Duchy in the Champion of Champions events.

The events see the Mens County Champions, Junior and Senior County Champions playing in separate competitions against the county champions from across England over the weekend of 12/13th September 2015.

CGU Mens County Champion Conor Wilson (Perranporth) will play in a 26 man field which includes England Boys International Will Enefer who recently teamed up with Cornwall's Harry Hall in the Boys Home Internationals. Wilson won the Cornwall County Championship back in May over the Bude & North Cornwall course when he defeated Carl Burley (Trevose). Wilson will play 36 holes over the renowned Hotchkin course at Woodhall on Saturday 12th September.

CGU Junior County Champion Jamie Crocker (Truro) will compete the same day also over 36 holes in a 32 man field playing over the same course. Crocker won the Junior County Championship at Newquay in June of this year.

Newly crowned Seniors County Champion Paul Clahane (Trevose) will also play 36 holes in a 32 man field over the same course with the first round taking place on saturday 12th and the second round the following day. Clahane won the Seniors County Championship at Carlyon Bay GC only last week.

Conor, Jamie and Paul - One and All wish you Good Luck!
