Griffiths Grinds out Win

St Enodoc's Andy Griffiths (pictured above courtesy of St Enodoc website) used his 17 handicap to great effect in continuing brutal windy cold conditions at Bude & North Cornwall GC yesterday to get his hands on the Royal Cornwall Challenge Cup in a field of 86 competitors.

Griffiths amassed an impressive 38 points despite the wind to calim victory in the stableford event by two points from host club member Ray Downes on 36 points.

Third place went to Truro stalwart Graham Cowls who scored a very good 34 points off his 5 handicap to sneak ahead of Danny Hoare (St Enodoc) on 33. Countback was enough to see Hoare finish ahead of Carlyon Bay's Louis Gough who scored 33 off a handicap of 3.

The prizes for the first four places will be presented at the end of County Week on Saturday 23rd May 2015.
