Cornwall U12's Retain 5 Counties Title
The Cornwall Under 12 Boys team took part in the SW 5 Counties U12 Championships at a breezy Perranporth Golf Club on Sunday 21st September.
The early starters had heavy rain to begin their round but after an hour's play the rain stopped and the U12 teams from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire played in a 6 player handicap medal with 5 nett scores out of the 6 counting towards the team total.
The Cornwall team consisting of Rory Hudson, Rory Julian, Charley Hackett, Cameron Brewaeys, Jenson Davis and Luke Harrison had a nett total of 391 to retain the trophy they won last year.
In second place in the team event was Somerset on a nett score of 404 with Devon in third place on 405.
West Cornwall's Rory Hudson won the gross competition with an excellent score of 75 to win by three shots from Devon's Nicholas Locke with a score of 78. In third place in the gross was Luc Taylor from Dorset with a score of 80.
