Carlyon Bay Charity Junior Open - U21s included

For 2025 Carlyon Bay's popular Charity Junior Open on Sunday 20th July will include a new competition for U21s alongside the traditional U18 categories. The club's Junior Organiser Justin Williams has long been an advocate of including 'older' juniors who so often disappear from sections and even leave the game.

To that end the Junior Open will include a Cornwall U21s Medal with a maximum 18 handicap for which there will be a first prize of £100 for the gross and £75 for the nett winners.

For the traditional juniors there is the usual 18 Hole Medal with a maximum 18 handicap and the same level of prizes as outlined above.

There is an 18 Hole Stableford for the 19-36 handicappers with a first prize of £75, as well as a 9 Hole Stableford for 36+ handicaps  with a 9 Hole Golf Access competition to boot.

Aa a charity event all entry fees will be donated to Sowenna, Cornwall’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. The entry fee (£10 18 holes / £7 9 holes ) includes a golfer’s meal.
