SW Week 2025 Day 5 Sees More Agony for Cornwall
Cornwall suffered once again in the matchplay this time against Gloucestershire as they went down 8-6 overall.
The morning singles saw wins for George Law and Tom Stephens plus halves from Sam Crocker and Jamie Greet. At lunch the score was 5-3 in favour of our opponents.
Needing 3 afternoon foursomes wins John Hancock & Ethan Tempest and Tom Stephens & Matt Richards delivered. At the 18th hole - which has not been kind to the Duchy this week - there was a chance for Sam Crocker & Billy Downing to get the win but it was not to be.
On Friday Cornwall face host county Wiltshire who sit second in the matchplay table behind Gloucestershire, Dorset are third, Cornwall fourth ahead of Devon and Somerset.
