Cornish Players selected for South West Teams
The SWCGA Seniors team has been selected for the match against the Midlands and well done to the two Cornish reps in Ian Veale (Newquay) and Mark Blaber (Carlyon Bay) for their inclusion. Veale is the 2024 SWCGA Seniors Champion whilst Blaber lost to Veale in a three man playoff also involving Simon Knowles (Perranporth). All three were part of the Cornwall team which won the SW Seniors Championship at Kingsdown and thus qualified for the English Senior Mens County Finals at Torquay in October.

The Seniors match versus the Midlands takes place at Rothley Park GC tomorrow Wednesday 11th September 2024.
Congratulations also to Matt Richards (West Cornwall) on his selection for the South West team in their annual fixture against the Midlands Golf Union.
Richards features in a team selected by SWCGA Captain Ali James (Wiltshire) at the conclusion of Men's SW Week earlier this year. Counties are invited to put forward nominees based on their performance both at SW Week, where Richards was top points scorer for the Duchy team, and across the season.
