'Ringo', as he was so very affectionately known, passed away on Monday 1st July after a battle with illness. He was in short 'Mr Truro Golf Club', a club he loved dearly and had been a member at for over 60 years. He was a very good and extremely competitive golfer and was a winner of numerous titles in an illustrious amateur career.

His golfing prowess led to Captaincy of the Cornwall Men's county team on two occasions (1988-91 and 2002-2004) and further afield his ability was recognised as he too captained the regional South West Counties Golf Association from 1991-1992.

In short Ringo was 'Mr Truro Golf Club'. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends in golf and beyond. Our thoughts are with them One and All.

Andrew's funeral will take place in Truro Cathedral at 11.00am on Thursday 18th July, followed by a celebration of his life at his beloved Truro GC.
