Why golf MUST prioritise sun protection - THIS VIDEO COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!
Alongside every UK golf organisation, the Cornwall Golf Union supports the Slip! Slap! Swing! sun protection for golf campaign.
With rates of skin cancer increasing faster than any other cancer in the UK, golfers and greenkeepers are at the highest risk, so it makes sense for clubs to add this to their agenda.
Sun Protection Accreditation costs £49 per summer, offering a toolkit of resources, which can be displayed both in the club and on your website. As well as sun protection, the campaign promotes the importance of skin checking, promoting early detection, and helping save lives. Accreditation is easy to achieve and implementation can be delegated to a club or staff member. The campaign’s sunscreen support service will help you stock sunscreen and profit from sales, providing protection and awareness all summer.

The Melanoma Fund had over 500 golf clubs signed up to the campaign by the end of 2021, which was fantastic news and their aim is to now retain those clubs and generate expanded support for 2022.
