First Junior Par 3 Championship To Take Place

CGU Juniors President Matt Tucknott (Radnor) does not take his foot of the gas and the latest example of his sterling work to support junior golf in the county is what  looks like the first ever Cornwall Juniors Par 3 Championship and the last Junior Open of 2021.

In Matt's own words this is to be staged at the not so Royal and Ancient Golf Club at Radnor Golf & Leisure on during the Christmas school holidays on Tuesday 28th December. But do not let that put you off as Radnor has a thriving social and supportive golfing community with a course that will test everyone taking part.

There will be an 18 hole Strokeplay, an 18 hole Stableford and even a 9 hole fun competition for new golfers - all for the sum of £5.

The event promises to be another great opportunity showcasing what’s so good about Cornwall Junior Golf and why we have such a great County Golf set up here in the Duchy.

Matt has made contact with all clubs in the Duchy and would like to make this Junior Open the most inclusive, giving as many juniors as possible the opportunity to play in the first Par 3 Championships. He would love to have a junior from every single club represented in this end of year celebration of junior golf in Cornwall and ideally would like to see this type of event grow year on year - maybe extending to an adult version in the coming years.

If you want to get involved there is a Poster here as well as an Entry Form.
