Coming Soon! - Greenkeeping Webinar

Cornwall Golf Union is continuing to invest resources to help club decision makers navigate their way forward. Following on from the series of webinars earlier this year and as part of this initiative, we have secured the services of John Kemp of Contemporary Club Leadership (CCL Ltd) who will provide a session on 'The Steps To Leading Your Golf Course'.

This will take place online at 6.00pm on Thursday 14th October 2021.

The golf course is your club's most important asset. However, many golf clubs and courses miss opportunities to review and improve the leadership of their golf course.

This 90-minute webinar is set up to ensure that Boards, Green Committees, Owners, Club Managers and Course Managers are working together to deliver the best golf course they can through:

  • Short & long-term planning for the course
  • How you measure a good golf course
  • Evaluating your course budget & resources
  • Building a successful leadership team

All those involved in the leadership and management decision of the golf course are encouraged to attend this webinar – Green Convenors, Green Committees, Club Managers and Course Managers.

John Kemp has worked as a greenkeeper, club manager and golf course architect internationally from 9-hole courses to major championship venues. He holds a degree in golf management, Professional Diploma from the European Institute of Golf Course Architects and is a R&A Greenkeeping Scholar. John is an advocate of sustainable golf course management and works with the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf and CCL.

So please join in with us and feel free to participate or even just listen. You can register for the webinar on the flyer

Having delivered three webinars to date Kevin Fish from CCL will present two more on subsequent Thursdays 21st and 28th October both beginning at 6.00pm. Further details of these will be made known in due course.
