ENGLAND GOLF - UPDATE TO CLUBS - Don't Delay!

England Golf is currently working with all our affiliated clubs on two significant pieces of work – the Club and Independent Golfer Survey and SafeGolf accreditation.

Your club’s views expressed via the survey are extremely important to us and we would also encourage you to make an early start on the SafeGolf accreditation process.

Please find below key information and relevant links for both the survey and SafeGolf.

Club and Independent Golfer Survey

The survey combines our biennial Club Survey with consultation around any future work with ‘Independent Golfers’.

The first part of the survey covers the topic of the ‘independent golfer’ and gives your club the chance to read the background, understand opportunities and challenges ahead and voice its opinion on how best to engage with this section of the golfing community.

The second section asks golf clubs a series of questions about membership, business practice and playing trends.

The answers your club provide will help shape future developments and proposals. Please take time to respond with your club’s feedback by the deadline of midday on Thursday 20 February 2020.

To help provide clarity of data, please submit only one response per club.

Results of the survey will be relayed back to clubs after the survey has closed.

Each respondent will be entered into a prize draw on behalf of their club to win one of two season tickets for the 149th Open Championship being held at Royal St George’s in July.

SafeGolf Accreditation

Protecting the welfare of everyone playing our sport has never been more crucial and to reflect that importance, SafeGolf accreditation will become a mandatory condition of affiliation to England Golf from January 2021.

Information on how your facility can achieve SafeGolf status can be found by clicking here – Become a Safe Golf Club

Clubs should register via the GolfMark website – GolfMark website – after which you will be sent a welcome email explaining how to log in and move forward with the accreditation.

You do not need to complete the full GolfMark accreditation, simply the SafeGolf element of the process.

Your Club Support Officer, Brad Bodinnar is here to support you every step of the way and can be contacted by mobile 07720 096 758 or email brad.bodinnar@englandgolf.org
