Time to Listen (TTL) is a three hour interactive workshop, developed by the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) and is the most appropriate and relevant training for Club Welfare Officers. Please note; CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop previously.
If you have any queries please contact the England Golf Club Support Officer (South West) Brad Bodinnar. Brad can be contacted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or mobile 07720 096758.
Brad says 'We may well need to provide another course or two across Devon and Cornwall in order to support the obvious geographical barriers some will face. However, these two workshops have been arranged and clubs should endeavour to attend'
England Golf continues to work closely with partners to protect young people and adults at risk. It is the intention that every affiliated golf club obtains the SafeGolf accreditation and the club support officer (CSO) network is already providing guidance to help golf clubs achieve this. Some county bodies have and are working towards obtaining SafeGolf, and we encourage all to do so.Time to Listen is part of this aspiration and it is likely the accreditation will become a condition of affiliation in the immediate future.(2021)
