CGU Over 55s Team Championship Rules

1. The competition shall be known as the Over 55s Team Championship and will take place on a weekday.
2. The competition is open to teams of 6 seniors - made up of 3 pairs - from affiliated clubs
3. The maximum handicap allowance is 18. A team member with a handicap in excess of 18 shall be required to play off 18. 90% Allowance applies.
4. The pairs will play a betterball medal with the 2 best pairs forming an aggregate total. The team with the lowest nett total will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie the third pairs score will be used to determine the winner. If, at that stage, the total scores are still equal, the competition will be decided by the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole total of the third card.
5. If the event is over subscribed it may be necessary to stage a pre-qualifier.
6. The winners will assume the title Over 55s County Team Champions.
7. Qualification for entry shall be as defined in the General Conditions for Competitions paragraphs 15, 16 and 18.
