Maxam Cup Rd 2 Rules

1. The competition will be known as the Maxam Cup.
2. The format for each competition shall be 36-holes foursomes stroke play off scratch.
3. Each team shall consist of 6 players with a team member’s maximum individual handicap index of 8.0
4. The Cup shall be awarded to the team with the two lowest aggregate scores over the first 18-holes, together with the two lowest aggregate scores over the second 18-holes. In the event of a tie, the aggregate of the two remaining scores shall be brought into account and if, at that stage, the total scores are still equal, the competition will be decided by the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1-hole total of the third card.
5. A maximum of 16 teams will compete.
6. If more than 16 teams enter a reserve list will be formed and a team placed on the reserve list will qualify to play the following year. Each year the teams finishing in the lowest positions from the previous year’s competition will be replaced by the number of teams waiting on the reserve list and these teams will then be placed as a reserve for one year.
7. A player teeing off on the odd holes in Round 1 will also tee off on the same holes in Round 2.
8. Entry by clubs to CGU Secretary.
9. Qualification for entry shall be as defined in the Terms of Competition for CGU Competitions paragraphs 2, 15 and 16.
