After the success of last year’s pre-season encounter with the CGU Under 18 Juniors the County Seniors team will again face their younger opponents at Trevose G&CC on Monday 15th February 2016.

County Seniors Captain, Mike Marshall (St Mellion) will lead his 16 man team for what is likely to be his last match in charge as he concludes his term of office in March this year and hands over to Simon Harper (St Austell).

Marshall, a county representative on 53 occasions since 2011, has named his team including Harper along with Duncan Powell (Carlyon Bay), Alan Creber (Launceston), Charlie Phillips & Rob Stacey (both Newquay), David Cowan, Trevor Ashton, Mike Wigley, Mike Ellis (all Trevose), David O’Mahony (Tehidy Park), Rod Frost (St Enodoc), Colin Ross (Falmouth), Ross Durkin (Mullion),  Andy Rowe (Looe) and Alan Poole (St Mellion).

CGU U18 Manager Andy Mortimore has named the team to face the Seniors and they are: Jared Mortimore (CGU Junior Captain 2016, Truro) Simon Hobbs and Jon Rowe (Bowood Park), George Leigh (Trevose), Finn Rule, Tristan Barnes and Bradley Barnes (West Cornwall), Joe Reynard and Cameron Gurd (Truro), Rhys Kerton, Freddie Norris and Connor Davidson (Mullion), Ben Browning and Tom Matthews (Falmouth), Jamie Barton (Launceston) and Alex Manuel (Trethorne).

Mortimore says of the match, "This will be a strong test as the highest handicap for the Seniors will be 6, they are determined to revenge the defeat we imposed on them last year."
