CGU County Seniors Captain elect Andy Rowe (Looe, pictured above), who takes up office in March 2018, is already looking at the season ahead with Seniors Channel League matches and the SWCGA Championship very much in mind.

As a warm-up for the season and an opportunity for players to get their names into the frame for team selection, incoming Captain Rowe is introducing an Order of Merit to be played at Newquay GC during the first three months of the year.  Details are contained on the poster via the link below with the first event taking place on Friday 26th January.  Start times are to be confirmed but likely to be from 10:00.  This event is open to all players of 55+years with a single figure handicap so if you are interested in playing please contact Andy. Closing date for entries is at midnight on Wednesday 24th January. A second event will also take place at Newquay on 23rd February with a third planned for March.

The winner of this short Order of Merit will be guaranteed a starting place in the Cornwall Seniors team to face Gwent in the 2018 SCL opener at Launceston in late April.
