Veale Names Teams for Opening Matches

Kieran Faulkner (Looe) selected to play both matches for Cornwall

CGU County Captain has named the teams who will represent the Duchy in matches on back to back days at West Cornwall GC over the first weekend of April 2019.

On Saturday 6th April the Duchy will take on the Royal Navy at Lelant, in what is an annual fixture, and the following day sees the Channel League opener against Gloucestershire over the same course.

Team v Royal Navy: Steve Davies, Mark Grootz, George Leigh, Joe Reynard (all Trevose), Kieran Faulkner (Looe), Cameron Gurd, Sandy Kirton (both Perranporth), Jon Hancock, Aaron Stephens (both Newquay) and Rob MacGregor (Tehidy Park). The named reserves are: Craig Thomas (Trevose), Ryan Curtis (Bude & N Cornwall) and Simon Hobbs (Bowood Park).

Team v Gloucestershire: Kieran Faulkner (Looe), Jon Hancock, Aaron Stephens (Newquay), Richard Jasper (Launceston), Sandy Kirton, Conor Wilson (Perranporth), George Leigh, Joe Reynard (Trevose), Robert MacGregor (Tehidy Park) and Matt Richards (West Cornwall). Named reserves are: Steve Davies, Mark Grootz (Trevose) and Cameron Gurd (Perranporth).
