West Cornwall Finish Middle of Pack

The West Cornwall GC trio of Alex Glasson, Matt Richards and Luke Stevens finished in the middle of the pack at this weekend's English Champion Club finals  which took place at Huddersfield GC over two days.

West Cornwall qualified for these national finals by virtue of their win in the Cornwall Team Championship earlier this year and they finished in 12th spot amongst the 27 clubs competing on a total of 455 (+29), some 21 shots behind winners Castle Royle (BB&O) on 432 (+8).

Matt Richards returned rounds of 70 and 75 for a total of 145 (+3) to be best scorer for the Lelant based club and this saw him finish in 16th spot in the 81 man field. Glasson scored 73 and 76, whilst Stevens retruned 82 & 79.
