Cornwall Boys Gain County Finals Spot

The Cornwall U18 Boys Team (above) have qualified for the England Boys County Finals later this year after a superb performance in the SWCGA Boys Championship staged at Perranporth GC yesterday. Not only did the Boys gain a spot in next months Finals after coming out top of the SW Regional Qualifier by 28 shots, with four of the Duchy team finishing in the top 10, but George Leigh (Trevose) became SW Counties Boys Champion as he claimed the individual title after exceptional rounds of 73 and 72 on the links course which played tough all day long due to the firm fairways and a strengthening wind.
