England Golf has Two Upcoming Workshops in Cornwall!

You may already have heard England Golf are to host two different workshops in Cornwall shortly dealing with 'Changing culture through good governance ' and 'Business Planning'. Cornwall's Club Support Officer Brad Bodinnar has contacted clubs regarding the workshops and to date the response has, shall we say, been limited. We have often complained in the past that the workshops have been staged too far away from us and here we are with two in our own county. We need to support them! And yes - there is a cost attached.

However, both workshops will take place at St Mellion International GC.

The first of these 'Changing culture through good governance' takes place on 31st October 2017 and deals with the principle 'Don’t just survive – but thrive. Find out how in the governance workshop. There are some things you might just want to put off and deal with later – many of us feel like this. But your club’s governance shouldn’t be one of them. Your business needs a strong foundation to thrive. This workshop could really help. You’ll come away with an action plan to make both quick and lasting improvements to your club.

The Business Planning workshop will be staged on 9th November 2017, where you will be offered the chance to start to 'futureproof' your club in one session. The future of your club could depend on it! Strategic planning always gets pushed back – something more urgent always comes up. But I’d really recommend making time for this half-day workshop. It will help you evaluate where you are now, and what you need to do to achieve your goals. You’ll come away with a 3-stage plan to grow your business, with plenty of ideas from other clubs achieving success.
