Cornwall struggled in the morning foursomes but Howard Yeates and Jake Finn salvaged a half from their match after being 2 down with 3 to play to make the score at lunch 2 ½ - ½ to the visitors. Leading the way in the afternoon singles Harry Hall and Ryan House steadied the ship with important wins. However defeat for Howard Yeates and Jamie Crocker, followed by and excellent win by newcomer Connor Davidson meant that Jake Finn needed to win the last match to make honours even. Being 2 up with two holes to play on the 17th, he held his nerve after both tee shots went in the bunker, making an excellent recovery to get up and down to win his match and halve the game.
