Over 55s Team Championship Rules

1. The competition shall be known as the Over 55s County Team Championship and is open to teams from affiliated clubs.
2. Teams will consist of six players in three pairs.
3. The maximum handicap index is 18.0. A team member with a handicap index greater than 18.0 shall be required to play from 18.0. 85% allowance.
4. The pairs will play a betterball medal with all 3 pairs scores forming an aggregate total. The team with the lowest nett total will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie the third pairs score would be used to determine the winner. If, at that stage, the total scores are still equal, the competition will be decided by the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1-hole total of the third card.
5. If the event is over-subscribed it may be necessary to stage a pre-qualifier.
6. The winners will assume the title Over 55s County Team Champions.
7. Qualification for entry shall be as defined in the Terms of Competition for CGU Competitions paragraphs 2, 15, 16 and 18.
