CGU Junior (U16/U18) County Championship - Rnd 1 Rules

Competitors must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January in the year and (a) must be a member of an affiliated golf club in the County Union or must have been born in Cornwall and be a member of an affiliated golf club in another English County and (b) must not have played for or participated in a competition run by another County Union in the previous 12 months.

Players under the age 14 on 1st January, 2021 must have a playing handicap of 24 or lower. Players under the age of 14 may play in the U16/U18 competition but would render themselves ineligible for the U12/U14 Championship being staged at the same time.

There will be scratch and handicap prizes in each age category. Competitors may enter more than one category if of the appropriate age. No competitor may win more than one prize per category.

Entries will be limited to 72 and balloted by handicap. The C.G.U. reserves the right to refuse any entry.

Ties will be decided by sudden-death play-off, or on the last 18, 9, 6, or 3 holes etc, or as the Competition Committee may otherwise decide.

The decision of the Committee of Management on all points arising during the meeting will be final.

Round 1 of this competition will be the qualifying round for the 2021 Telegraph Junior Golf Championship Finals.
