SWCGA Championship Week Matchplay Day 3 Cornwall v Gloucestershire Parkstone GC
Cornwall went down to another defeat on day 3 of the SWCGA matchplay stages at Parkstone GC today as they were well beaten by a strong Gloucestershire side. The morning singles matches set the stage as the Duchy lost 7 of the 8 games with Rob MacGregor the only winner by a 3&2 margin. Five games finished on the 17th hole with Cornwall losing each of them 2&1.
Cornwall salvaged some pride in the afternoon foursomes which were shared. Matt Richards and Joe Reynard paired to win 2&1 and Conor Wilson and MacGregor won 3&2.
The final result Cornwall 4 - 10 Gloucestershire.
