Women & Girls Golf Week 2018 Almost Here!

Monday 23rd July 2018

Women & Girls’ Golf Week 2018 is the inspiration of England Golf with support from the Home Unions, R&A and wider industry partners and takes place from Monday 30 July to Sunday, 5 August.

It’s an online campaign, uniting the golf industry, to celebrate the successes of women and girls in many different roles in golf – and to challenge misconceptions.

There will be a different theme for every day and we’ll be telling the stories of some amazing people. The themes are:

  • Monday Careers women working in the industry
  • Tuesday Volunteers the hidden heroes behind the game
  • Wednesday Health & Wellbeing including celebrities who love the game and why
  • Thursday Performance opportunities for young and aspiring players
  • Friday Participation focus on key areas of the programme nationwide
  • Saturday Championships key events and pathway for progression
  • Sunday Round-up the week’s activities and highlights

You have an opportunity to share your story!

We’d love women and girls everywhere to join the conversation. Share your story and what golf means to you across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #WhyIGolf! And don’t forget to tag England Golf. All the links you need to use are below.

Take a look at the different themes outlined above, and if you feel you fit one of those days, post then!

Perhaps you know someone who deserves a shout out but is too shy do it themselves? Share the love!

Get in to Golf

Why not utilise the increased awareness and activity around Women and Girls golf and host a Get in to Golf Taster Day for the women or girls at your club and get them to ‘bring a friend’ to attract new female golfers.
