The playoff underway (above)
When Gough pitched his second shot to a few feet and holed the putt for birdie his spot was secured but with the other three all making the par 4, they moved to the second hole. Clotworthy missed the fairway left off the tee, Jenkins missed right but Stockwell with an excellent drive found the front edge of the green on the 316 yard hole. Clotworthy came up short with his second and although Jenkins found the back left of the green he was some distance away. Clotworthy's third ran on past the pin and when he failed to make the putt his race was run. Jenkins putted up close to the hole but despite leaving himself a knee knocking short putt Stockwell secured the birdie and joined the 32 man throng in the knockout stages.
The knockout draw can be found here. Adam Curtis faces Louis Gough first out at 0800 (Thurs). Four other home players made it through in the form of Curtis's brother Ryan, Danny Vanstone, Lawrie Bridges and Msrk Jenkins. Last years County Champion Matt Richards also qualified and faces Kieran Faulkner (Looe) this morning.
