CGU Mini Tour Changes for 2022
Wednesday 9th February 2022
The popular CGU Mini Tour will see some changes this year but we are pleased to say once again Golf Access, Callaway Golf and Chinnydipper will be our very valued sponsors.
As part of a concerted and ongoing effort to increase the number of juniors participating in golf across the county the season long 5 events will be open to boys and girls of all ages.
Mini Tour Organisers Mark and Linzi Hawkey have been busy in the close season and have arranged dates from May through to September at St Mellion, Merlin, The Point at Polzeath, Truro and St Enodoc Golf Clubs. And all of this will cost just £60 with the juniors not only playing 9 holes but also benefitting from coaching sessions prior to setting foot on the courses.
In a further addition to the schedule a 9 hole Junior Championship will also take place in August at Radnor GC which was the venue of a very successful pilot at the back end of 2021, Further details of this event will follow.
If you wish to join the Mini Tour the please complete the Application and Code of Conduct forms and return them to the CGU Secretary together with requisite payment. Banking details are included on the Application Form.
Mark and Linzi say 'We are recommending juniors book a place soon to avoid any disappointment as this seems very popular and places will be limited. Nevertheless we look forward to once again seeing you all at St Mellion in May.
