St John Ambulance (Cornwall) receive CGU Donation
Friday 26th November 2021
For some years now the Cornwall Golf Union has been very proud to support the work of St John Ambulance (Cornwall) by passing on entry fees received at its popular annual Lord Lieutenant's Trophy competition.
This year the Union has passed the sum of £1300 to St John Ambulance after a total of 104 players competed in mid Summer at Carlyon Bay GC.
SJA Community Fund Raising Manager South West Louise Jones acknowledged the donation and said "Thank you so very much for the donation of £1,300 from your Annual Golf competition"
The CGU has always been able to request its donations be be used for the benefit of St John Ambulance in the Duchy and Louise responds "I can confirm that the money will be used within Cornwall and especially to support our ongoing First Aid Training for our volunteers as well as supporting our Youth work within the County. We are in the process of renewing all volunteer First Aid Training following the pandemic and especially now we are gradually allowed to be re-entering the community so this donation will certainly be of great use to support this work."
"Please pass on our thanks to all that took part in the Lord Lieutenants Trophy."
The CGU looks forward to continuing its support of St John Ambulance and its volunteers within Cornwall.
