Golfers WHS Toolkit Made Available

Thursday 29th October 2020

Ahead of the new World Handicap System (WHS) launching in England on Monday 2 November, England Golf are delighted to present their golfer toolkit for distribution to club members.

This educational resource will give golfers access to all the information they need to understand and appreciate the new WHS.

This asset for golfers follows on from the production of a similar toolkit created specifically for clubs, committee members and staff. The latest club version - Toolkit 2.0 - was issued earlier this week.

The golfer toolkit will provide club members with facts on key aspects of the WHS such as:

  • Handicap Index and how it’s calculated
  • Course and Slope Rating
  • Course Handicap
  • Acceptable formats for play

The resource which can be downloaded here takes members through the new WHS in a simple, step-by-step process.

It brings together in one place all the educational aspects of WHS which England Golf have rolled out during 2020 through clubs as well as their website and social media channels.

Clubs are reminded that technical queries on the new WHS Golf Club Platform should be directed to whs.support@englandgolf.org.

All golfer enquiries linked to handicapping matters should be answered first by the club’s handicap committee or passed on to county handicap advisors for further assistance.
