Cornwall maintained their position at the top of the
Channel League with a resounding win over Wiltshire
at Newquay yesterday.
It was an emotional day with Cornwall dedicating their
victory to Ben Enoch. Both teams observed a minutes silence
before the match with Cornwall playing in all black
and Wiltshire wearing black ribbons as a mark of respect
from both teams.
Two wins out of two now means that Cornwall now turn
their attention to the South West Championships at Broadstone,
Dorset in June.

Ben Enoch
Everyone involved in golf in our County will have been
devastated by yesterday’s news of the death in
a car accident of Ben Enoch from Truro.
The accident happened when Ben was driving from Wales
to Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club to compete
in the Lytham Trophy.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Tracey, Steve and
Rhys, family and friends. Our thoughts are with you.
As a mark of respect Cornwall will wear all black on
Sunday for this weekend's Channel League game against
Wiltshire at Newquay with the game being played in Ben's
memory.
A minutes silence will be observed at both the Channel
League game and the Junior U14 Championship being played
at Truro on the same day and the County Flag will be
flown at half mast.
