24 August 2008 The inaugrial "Champion of Champions" tournament at Lanhydrock Golf Club on 24th August was posponed due to parts of the course being waterlogged by heavy overnight rain. 02 August 2008 Ben Westgate wins the Welsh Amateur Championship after beating Ben Enoch 5/4 in the 36 hole final today at Royal Porthcawl. Congratulations to both players. 01 August 2008 Westgate and Enoch reach final..... A Cornish player will become the Welsh Amateur Champion after Ben Westgate and Ben Enoch won through to the finals today at Royal Porthcawl. The two will face each other in the 36 hole final tomorrow. Cornwall junior team will represent the SW Counties at the English Boys County Championship Finals in September after their win at Hamptworth yesterday............. 14 July 2008 Cornwall 5 Somerset 10 Cornwall faced an uphill struggle as they trailed by 4 points after the morning foursomes. the singles were alot closer but in the end Somerset ran out comfortable winners in this Channel League match played at Perranporth. 7 July 2008 Cornwall v Gwent Cornwalls Channel League game was abandoned without a ball being struck as heavy rain at Monmouthshire closed the course. 22 June 2008 Cornwall 5½ Devon 9½ A Cornwall team which included 5 junior players battled hard against Devon but eventually came up just short in this Channel League match today at West Cornwall...........
