Cornwall Juniors have qualified for the EGU County Boys Finals following their 1 shot victory over nearest rivals Somerset yesterday at the SW Boys Championships held at Hamptworth Golf Club, Wiltshire.

Cornwall managed to retain their 1 shot lead held from the morning round and in a tense finish secure the win by the narrowest of margins.

Low round of the day was from Ben Enoch who shot an afternoon 67 to set a new amateur course record.

The individual SW Boys Champion was Matt Kippen from Somerset with two excellent rounds of 69 for a 138 winning total.

Cornwall now go forward to represent the SW at the Finals which this year are being held at Royal North Devon on 1st-3rd September. They will play the other 3 regional qualifiers on a round robin basis to decide the title.
