England Golf have announced The Bridgestone ‘Chase Your Dream’ Trophy (formally the Gold Medal) events are now open for entries and wish to make all clubs and counties aware of the changes that have been made to the competition.

The competition is open to male amateur golfers of all ages, who won a club qualifying competition in 2016. The top 120 medal winners from each region will progress through to a Regional Final. This year the SW Regional Finals will take place atMinehead & West Somerset Golf Club on Sunday 11th June 2017.

15 competitors from each regional final will progress to this year’s finale, which will take place in England Golf Week at Woodhall Spa in August. There, the players will be the overnight guests of England Golf and be treated to the full championship experience. The individual winners will be England’s handicap golfers of the year and the top nine players at each final will then play in the PGA European Challenge Tour Pro-Am at the Bridgestone Challenge on 6 September 2017.
