County Team Selection CL v Glos Sun 8th May 2016
The Cornwall team to face Gloucestershire in the Duchy's second match of the 2016 Channel League season has been named by County Captain David Kneebone.
There are two changes to the team which defeated Gwent at St Enodoc. Rob MacGregor (Tehidy Park) returns to the side replacing the unavailable Chris Fleming (Perranporth) and Kneebone hands a full men's county debut to CGU Junior Captain Jared Mortimore (Truro) who replaces the similarly unavailable Nick Gammon (Trevose).
Kneebone is keen to see the good start to the season maintained. He said "In our first competitive (Channel League) match of the season at St Enodoc, it was great to see the team's winning spirit again. There were some good comebacks from people in losing positions, some strong performances from people who dominated their games and even those who lost demonstrated how upset and passionate they were."
The match away to Gloucestershire, playing their first CL match of the season, takes place at Lansdown GC, nr Bath on Sunday 8th May 2016.
The full team is: Joe Cruse (St Enodoc), Matt Richards (West Cornwall), Rob MacGregor, Ryan Curtis (Bude & N Cornwall) Jared Mortimore, Aaron Stephens (Newquay), Conor Wilson, Sandy Kirton (Perranporth), Richard Jasper (Launceston) and Josh Greenaway (Bowood Park).
