This edition contains details of the search which is on to find and recognise the unsung heroes of golf who inspire others to take up and enjoy the game. England Golf are seeking nominations and further details are available via a link in the news.

Also contained is the news that David Joy, the Chief Executive of England Golf is to leave his post at the end of the year, having tendered his resignation in order to take up the same role at the head of British Canoeing.

There is also a case study dealing with attracting adult beginners to the game and further details on the England Golf regional workshops.

Our region has a workshop at Woodbury Park, Exeter on Tuesday 13th October 2015 for which there are places still available. The workshop will present the current thoughts and recommendations for change and updates on the recently completed golfer segmentation research. We will also provide updates on our facilities strategy project, England Golf’s club support offer and the plans for a new digital offer to improve awareness and engagement with existing and potential golfers.
