Cornwall's U14 team scored a great victory away to Somerset in their Jack Roberts League encounter at Long Sutton GC. On a difficult day heavy rain on which heavy rained caused the foursomes matches to be halved without a ball being struck the team achieved their win by claiming 4 points from the available 6 singles and ran out 5.5-3.5 winners.

Meanwhile the U16s team were playing the same opposition at the same venue. Unfortunately in a tight match and despite battling hard they could not quite match the younger team as they went down 5-3. (Overall result lost 7-5 foursomes not played)
