Jamieson Challenge Trophy Saturday 23rd May 2015 Bude & North Cornwall GC
Host club member Jim Ryan (pictured above) won the Jamieson Challenge Trophy over the Bude & North Cornwall course yesterday as County Week 2015 drew to a close. In the stableford event with a disappointingly small field of just 24 competitors, 15 of whom were Bude members, Ryan eclipsed the remainder with a magnificent 41 points.
Ryan, playing off a 9 handicap, put together his score with halves of 21 and 20 points comprising 4 gross birdies, 7 pars and just the one double bogey as he comfortably won the competition.
13 year old Bude youngster Harry Macauley impressed with his second place on 38 points and indicated he is likely to be one to watch in the future.
Third place was secured by Bude's David Congdon also on 38 points.
