National Golf Month
Thursday 19th March 2015
As part of its ongoing work to help promote recruitment and retention in golf, the Cornwall Golf Partnership is again supporting National Golf Month in May this year. Golf Month is designed not only for golfers who want to get back into the game but also to help introduce new people into the sport.
The Cornwall Golf Partnership, with support from the Cornwall Ladies Golf Association, the Cornwall Golf Union and the Cornwall PGA, will once again be participating in the event and will provide advice and assistance where possible. The hope is that all clubs in Cornwall will participate.
If you have any information about offers you intend promoting (5 for £25 structured coaching sessions, Learn to Play in a day sessions, Open Day and playing or membership offers_ please advise the County Development Officer, Simon Wood by Tuesday 31st March 2015 so all activities can be promoted on the Get into Golf and National Golf websites and so that he can produce posters and leaflets for each club involved in the project.
Last year over 400 people took part in coaching, playing and membership opportunities during National Golf Month at 25 participating golf clubs and driving ranges in Cornwall.
There will be national and local online promotion for this event so please contact Simon (079710624313 or cornwallcdo@hotmail.co.uk) with your club's coaching, playing and membership opportunities during National Golf Month. He will be in touch to provide further help and advice should you need it.
Attracting new members to your club is a year round responsibility and getting involved in England Golf’s ‘Get into Golf’ programme will provide your club with a structured programme to attract more customers to your golf club, twelve months of the year.
