St Andrews R&A Win for Gammon

Cornwall Golf Union would like to pay it’s own tribute to a September achievement that may have gone a little unnoticed in some golfing quarters.
Trevose Golf & Country Club’s popular Managing Director Nick Gammon travelled to the ‘Home of Golf’ at St Andrews, Scotland to compete in the Royal & Ancient’s Autumn Medal. A fantastic gross 7 under par 65 in a field of 120 players saw Nick top the results and claim the Royal Medal. In so doing Nick also set a new record for the event, bettering the previous best score by one shot.
Not only did Nick win the Royal Medal but he also claimed the Canadian Silver Beaver award for the lowest net aggregate score of 135 over two R&A Meetings across the year.
Nick’s success has seen him gain a very well deserved plus 1 handicap. Well done Nick!
