Cornwall Golf Union Amateur County Champion, Matt Richards (West Cornwall GC)(pictured above and below) will soon be heading to the headquarters of England Golf at Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire for the English Champion of Champions event.

Richards who won the County Championship in May, at Tehidy Park GC, will join other county champions from across the country on Sunday 14th September. The Boys, Men's and Senior champions from every English county will descend on Woodhall Spa that weekend for their respective national champions event over the testing and acclaimed Hotchkin Course.

All three championships are over 36 holes, the boys on Saturday, the men on Sunday while the seniors play one round on each day. Harry Hall (West Cornwall GC) the reigning Cornish Boy's Champion is unavailable for the event and with recently crowned Cornish Seniors Champion, Simon Harper doubtful it may fall to Richards to spearhead the Duchy's hopes in a field of over 30 other Men's county champions.
