There is golf with a difference taking place at Mullion Golf Club on Sunday 13th July 2014 when they host the Cornwall Long Drive Championship.

Competitors will face a morning qualifier and will smash 5 drives each on the links clifftop 4th hole. Drives will need to finish on the fairway. The longest 16 drives in the morning will see the big hitters responsible go into an afternoon seeded matchplay situation.

The entry fee for the day is £15 for visitors who must be members of a golf club in Cornwall with PGA Professionals, attached to a Cornish club, being charged just £10. Entry fees will include golf at Mullion on the day and the event is limited to 100 competitors. Entries together with payment must be received by 7th July 2014.

Prizes will include a putter for the Longest drive on the day, with vouchers for losing semi finalists and the runner up. The eventual winner will receive a trophy and voucher.
