The Cornwall Club Championship and the Cornwall ‘B’ Team Championship Conditions
1. Inter-club team competitions, each team consisting of 6 players. The Cornwall Club Championship is also known as the ‘A’ Team Competition
2. The format shall be foursomes match play, off scratch, over 18 holes, with each game to be played to a finish if required.
3. It is within the spirit of the competition that each Club shall play its best team available for the ‘A’ team competition.
4. A Club may substitute players between rounds, but no player shall be permitted to play in both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams during the annual competition.
5. Both ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams will be required to play a preliminary round if the entries exceed 16 for either competition.
6. Four rounds of the ‘A’ team competition will be played on the Monday and Tuesday of County Championship Week and three (or four) rounds of the ‘B’ team competition will be played on the Friday and Saturday of that week.
7. Venues for preliminary round matches will be at the discretion of the Cornwall Golf Union Executive Committee.
8. The four semi-finalists of the preceding year’s competition shall be seeded for the current year’s competition.
9. The qualification for players shall be as defined in the relevant paragraph of the conditions of play in the Cornwall Team Championship.
