CORNWALL V DEVON- Friendly

The season opened with our annual friendly fixture against Devon. This years match had added significance as it was played at St. Enodoc - the venue for this year's South West Counties Week.

“A fantastic fight by the Cornwall team showing true grit and determination” was the way County Captain John Piner described Cornwall's 8 – 7 win.

West Cornwall's young guns Joe Brian and Luke Stephens helped themselves to the Foster Mitchell Cups on Sunday winning with a fine score of 34 gross stableford points in blustery conditions.
